Congratulations to Kristin and Joseph! What a fantastic weekend for a wedding! 60 degrees in the middle of January says it all! Kristin and Joseph were married this past Saturday at St. Kiliean Catholic Church, followed by a reception at the Thatched Cottage in Centerport, New York. Kristin’s wedding was “winter inspired” despite the gorgeous weather, so we played that up a bit for her wedding invitations. Kristin and Joseph’s program was printed on a white metallic paper, repeating the snowflake graphic and topped off with a small swarovski crystal.

I met will Nicole and Bernard well over a year ago to discuss their wedding at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers. They wanted to go for a modern look incorporating New York City and Nicole’s love for the Damask pattern. Their color scheme was white, black and hot pink which was super fun to use. I started their project with a simple Save the Date postcard incorporating all of these elements. For their invitation, I used a black linen pocket invitation with a small Swarovski crystal on the outside. When opened, the inside has three layers of paper – backed with a silver metallic, an overlay of clear Damask paper and the printing on a white metallic paper. This section was then wrapped with a hot pink ribbon. We went on to do custom stamps to carry out the Damask pattern that Nicole loves! I went on to do their Wedding Programs, Wedding Menus and Seating Cards that were all printed on white metallic paper.

Angela and Ted were married in Seattle this past Labor Day weekend. The ceremony kicked off the night at Gas Works Park, which showcased Seattles amazing skyline… ahhhh so beautiful! The night continued with dinner and dancing at The Palace Ballroom, owned by the famous Seattle chef Tom Douglas. yum yum yum I am slightly biased, because Angela is my sister in law – but what a wedding to remember! – and what a beautiful bride :O) …Ted looked quite handsome as well…Angela’s wedding colors were purple and white, with accents of polka dots. (she happened to wear a fabulous Amsale dress with subtle polka dots) For the save the date, Angela wrote a cute story of how her and Ted originally met leading up to their life together today. I incorporated the small icons to represent major points in the story.
For the invite, I used a raised polka dot purple paper for the background, with an overlay of metallic grey paper and the top layer being a white metallic. Her response card was a cute mad-libs style postcard, letting her guests express their creative side, along with requesting a song for play during the wedding. For the wedding ceremony program as well as the favors, I used a simple design keeping the look of the invitation. They were both printed on metallic white paper.
